’Jympa’ is Friskis’ unique all-in-one class; it includes strength, cardio and flexibility in a clever combination where the music is at the centre.
It was the first class offered when Friskis was founded in 1978 and it is still the biggest training form at Friskis. In Jympa, music and movement become one, with easy-to-follow and varied exercises.
It is an energy-filled fun experience, where each participant can choose their gear depending on their fitness level, daily form and desire.
The Jympa concept is continuously developed to make sure it is up-to-date and suits as many participants as possible. As part of a broad recent review, you will see that there is no longer any distinction between Basic, Medium and Medium Pulse Jympa on the schedule. All Jympa classes are simply called Jympa!
The idea is to provide more flexibility for instructors in designing their programmes, as they can use a broader range of tempos and moves spanning across different intensity levels. The intensity of each Jympa class will depend on the way each instructor designs the session. The music will remain at the heart of Jympa and now becomes even more important as the key guiding element of every class!
